"Sometimes God redeems your story by surrounding you with people who need to hear your past so it doesn't become their future" - Jon Acuff

The above quote is my life philosophy and now my blogging philosophy. How can anything be more accurate? There are so many questions of why in this life that we wont get answers for when we experience a tramatic situation. Understanding the above has really helped me share my story and to open our story to you.
Hi...I'm Kate. Welcome to my tiny little corner of the world wide web!
I am a twenty something wife and mama.
My amazing, patient and kind husband is Sean.
Our children are Charlie and Cannon.
This blog is my place to share our struggles and triumphs alike. It is a place where I can give those who have not experienced child loss a glimpse of understanding and also a place where those grieving can know that they are not alone. It isn't always pretty or written perfectly but it is honest.
Our faith in God, Heaven and the bible are stronger than they ever have been before.
I was 28 weeks (to the day) pregnant with our second son, Cannon, the day Charlie passed away and my y husband was overseas. Being on the phone with him when all this occurred was something that I could never communicate in words. The whole thing is/was wordless to me.
There was plenty of opportunity for us to turn to Satan, anger and hostility but we choose to believe.
We choose to have faith...to SEE.

I can't believe I'm the first one to comment. Your words are beautiful and your pain is so honest. I have been where you are. (My son, Luke, would've been 13 this June.) You mention in a few other posts about getting grief from people for various things. Don't worry about what anyone else says or does, everyone grieves differently and nobody has the right to tell you how to do it. Just keep your focus on the job God has given you and you cannot go wrong. I will say a special prayer for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your story!
ReplyDeleteI'm humbled by your honesty and ability to trust God inspite of your circumstances. You are a great testimony to those who know you personally, and through this site. Your willingness to NOT turn to Satan, anger and hostility is clearly a gift from God. My heart goes out to you, and I thank you for being willing to share your story. God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful to see your Faith in God, despite everything you have been through. I thank God for people like you and your family. May He continue to keep you strong in His grace. Thank You for the inspiration you provide.
