Today we went to the zoo! This might not seem like a big deal to most but, it is! You see I took Charlie to the zoo in Florida just about every week (sometimes twice a week) because he loved it so much! We have been a couple of times before but this time was different. I was a mommy and dudes date. I wasn't planning on going anywhere today since we have been going every day for the past week but I just couldn't resist when I saw the weather for today: 70 and clear. Well, from the picture above you can see that it truly was a clear day and when I got in my car to go home it said 76!
Armed with Charlie's favorite giraffe, hat and one of mommy's favorite outfits (don't mind the Thanksgiving bib - lol) he was ready for a day of adventure!
This zoo is (obviously) different from the Florida one in many ways. My favorite difference is that there is a full on farm! Yes, that's right a farm. And every Spring they bring all the farm babies out and you get to have face to face, hand to mouth interaction!
Oh the giggles I heard today as we walked through...it just melted my heart.
I know Charlie would have loved it. Even Cannon did, he was so excited to be so close! This was by the horses.
I took the opportunity to work on my manual mode shots and well....as you can see they are still blurry. I can take great pictures of stationary things but people....I just don't have the knack I don't think. That is probably why good photographers cost so much - it's hard to get a good shot in manual and be in control of every aspect of the frame, seriously.
I love this shot, such concentration and enjoyment. He LOVES water just like Charlie. That's probably a good thing since he wont be getting juice either.
I know I am slightly biased but seriously I think he looks like an angel.
Just a pretty tree....
I just love this little guy so much that I randomly cry in public. Between the tears and surgical boots people must really think I am a basket case! LOL
Goodnight my sweet friends! I am going to kick back and indulge in some mindless television! :)
