This is probably the easiest tutorial I have ever shared but it's so awesome that I just had to share it. Cannon is now mobile and he loves to go straight for the plug in air fresheners (and any cords) as soon as he hits the floor. This little beauty took care of that right away! Not only is it keeping my precious baby away from harmful chemicals (why was I using these to being with?!) but it's not a constant drag of electricity. :)
I hope you enjoy this super easy 3 step tutorial!
The Parts:
Pure Baking Soda
Small mason jars
scented oil of your choice (mine is apple cinnamon - the hub's favorite!)
You also need a screwdriver and hammer (not pictured)
Use your screwdriver and hammer to punch holes in the lid. Do several so that the fragrance can escape and fill your senses. :)
Add the baking soda and some of the oil. I didn't measure, just poured a little in. Then I used a small whisk to mix it up. This seemed to work the best since the oil kept wanting to clump up the baking soda.
Literally, that. is. it.
Easy, huh?
I have been using mine and it actually is working! There really is an endless amount of uses of baking soda!
Have fun going green!
It's rather addicting.

Where did you get your scented oil? Whole Foods?
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletechewchewmama- Sadly we do not have a Whole Foods here or I would have. :( Kirklands, Target and Wal-Mart carry them I know for sure here.
ReplyDeleteNicole - I couldn't resist! :)
Thanks for sharing your instructions for the air freshner. I don't like breathing some air freshners because of the overpowering fragrance. Yours seems like it would be more subtle. Hope to see you at Your Cozy Home Party next week.------ Shannon
ReplyDeleteKate, I have been looking for those little mason jars. Where did you get yours?
ReplyDeleteI got them at walmart in the laundry section. :) sorry for my delayed response. Just figuring out the commenting.
