Hey ya'll! This one is coming to you by a request. If you have ever been to one of our summer pool parties then chances are you have had a chance to entertain your taste buds with this delicious casserole. :) If you haven't then this tutorial is just for you! This is a recipe I have spent literally years tweaking and changing it for what I think is, perfection. I hope you enjoy it and if you make it please be sure to share what you thought in the comment section.
As always be sure to read the disclaimer section before attempting any of my tutorials.
Here are the ingredients:
3 cups thawed southern style hash browns
1 cup sour cream
2 heaping cups shredded cheese
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 can cream of celery
french fried onions to taste
Combine the sour cream.....
shredded cheese.....
cream of celery....
and wheat germ in your mixing bowl.
like so....
mix thoroughly....
yummy!
after you scrape down the sides add the thawed potatoes and mix again...
Place the good stuff into a GREASED glass baking dish. It is important to not skip this step since there is no butter in this recipe otherwise you will have one stuck mess.
Bake at 400 degrees for 35-45 minutes (depending on your oven). Then add the french fried onions. My husband didn't want any when he saw me adding them but then ended up loving it and added it to the other half. ;) French fried onions makes everything better!
Cannon even agrees! :)
