I finally have some pictures of our new place here in the land of 10,000 lakes. It has been very hard to refrain from doing projects to this house since we are renting until our other home sells - however with that said I think the family that owns this house did a lot of great things to it so it has made it easy to adjust. The one thing we didn't do in this house that we have done in every other house we have ever had - was paint. We decided with the move, a newborn, and Sean going back to Florida that it just wasn't worth the hassle. So yes, Cannon's room is decorated in University of Michigan but his room colors are Michigan State and yes the living room has a backdrop of rustic reddish/orange against the tans, rich chocolates, and soft blues of our furniture but, it's all good - we love our house and the memories we make....that is what makes it a home. :)
Enjoy!

Enjoy!
This house totally makes me feel think of the good 'ol days and my Gram's house. Not necessarily the layout but the look of it and the feeling you get when your inside. Just the thought of all the memories that have been made in this house make me all warm and fuzzy inside. :) This house was built in the late 70's so just imagine....I think Sean's favorite part is the four car garage. :)
There have been some additions made....
Why yes, that is the fire pit we had in Florida. Though somehow we lost 4 blocks somewhere along the way...
tree fort...
Our back door is our front door/mud room.
And you are greeted by this massive fridge and freezer that is a huge increase in space from our previous side-by-side in Florida. Though I do miss my stainless appliances these are still nice.
View from the mud room/dining area. Sweet Charlie watches over us...
yes....I have a slight red kitchen aid obsession.:)
Turned around and standing in the kitchen now looking into the dining room and mud room area.
This is on the other side in the hallway. This used to be a bedroom that they converted into a much needed dining area. Our table was way to big with the leaf out but it worked out perfectly since we needed two bar stools for the bar area in the kitchen.
I love this picture window so much! Cannon adores watching the cars go by too. :)
Faith, Hope, Family, Love and Peace....the perfect place in our home for a daily reminder of what is really important in this life. Faith being number one....
I really missed having a screen door too! I think Mason did too...see him in the television cabinet?
Here's a close up. :)
Charlie's Little Ark.....my sewing room.
There's not much to it...
Remember my bulletin board tutorial? I still have to add the pictures but here she hangs.
This is my cutting table/photo studio area. The bead board is my back drop and I use either a white poster board or pieces from our hardwood flooring for the bottom. Pretty sneaky huh? ;)
The room's in this house are TINY. All we could fit in the master was our bed. Where are the night stands you ask? You will see them in a minute...
Standard main floor bath. Best part is there is a laundry chute!
The magazine sling found a home in here and fits perfectly!
Walking down into the basement...
Craft room that I am thinking about turning into a play/explore room for Cannon.
There are the night stands....lol I had to get creative.
And there you have it....the storage area/laundry is massive but a mess so I'm not sharing it. :)
Do you have any themes or obsessions running throughout your home?

Hi Kate! I'm envious of your huge fridge/freezer. I'd come live with you just for that. Seems no matter what kind of fridge we buy, there is never enough room in it. Love your master bedroom too. Looks like you're well on your way to making your new house a home. Thanks for sharing it at my party this week!
