I feel like I am saying that more often each day lately. We just celebrated Charlie's very first birthday ever, had his baptism, and found out that we are having another boy! We are so ecstatic to be blessed with a beautiful, healthy, happy son and another one on the way. I often find myself worrying about this pregnancy way more than I did with Charlie. I have come to learn from several of my friends who have more than one child that this is a normal thing. So....I try to push it aside and focus on the good. I starting thinking about our new child, who will be named Cannon Parker, and I am so curious to see what he will be like. So far he is enjoying the same area's of the womb Charlie did - the left side in my ribs! They definitely have their differences already though too, Cannon likes to roll around in there whereas Charlie thought he was a boxer. ;-)
In other news our beloved dog Balou was diagnosed with cancer in his left front leg and we made the decision to get it amputated. Unfortunately the biopsy test we had done didn't come back good, or bad. It was inconclusive on the type of cancer. So we took a chance and had it amputated and are praying for good results in a couple of weeks. He is doing wonderfully throughout his recovery - acting as though nothing has even happened. His demeanor hasn't changed at all and he is already trying to go play out side. Doc says no running or playing for 1 month. Now for those of you who know Balou, this is not an easy order to follow but, we are doing our best. He is on a lot of pain meds so that helps to keep him calm most of the time. The pain patch was removed yesterday and he is doing great on the oral only meds.I have to admit it is weird looking at him without his leg but I still look at him with the same love I always have. He acted a little embarrassed the first day and wouldn't show his left side to us but after that he adjusted quickly and is loving being home. There was one scary incident we had with him the other night. One of Balou's favorite spots to sleep is under our bed (it sits really high) and he snuck under there when I wasn't looking and started to panic and yelping. He was trying to get out but just kept pushing up on his staples. Luckily Sean was home and he lifted the whole bed (like superman, lol) and I got him out. I think it scared him more than anything because he couldn't get out on his own. Needless to say we have the bed barricaded so he can't do that again. Other than that he seems to be in much better spirits already than he did before the surgery. Things are looking up for our beloved Balou, lets just pray the lab results come back good.
We are starting to prepare for Cannon's arrival now. We made our very first ever Craigslist purchase for his crib and got a great deal! I can't wait to use it again for more goodies! =) Sean's aunt and uncle will be here this week and the boys are going to be installing a wall and french doors for the office which will become the guest bedroom and the guest bedroom will become Cannon's room. I have decided to go with the Michigan theme again (you can imagine how excited Sean is) since I know how important it is to him. The best part is I am making everything myself this time! =) I cannot wait to start on everything just as soon as I finish school for the semester.
Speaking of school....I took 5 classes this semester and holy cow is all I have to say! I finished 1 class at the end of Feb and I am about to finish another. 3 more after that and I am done for 4 months! The even crazier thing is I will be starting school again in August and Cannon is due August 29th....we shall see how this goes. Hopefully I get cooperative professors and can take everything online in the Fall.
We blogger land....it is that time for me to hit the bed! My eyes are seeing numbers from all the Algebra homework I just finished...*puke* I know I have been really bad about blogging lately but I will be much better as soon as I finish this semester. I'll post pics soon.....they are on the other computer.
