Spring is here!

I love that I can say that and its only February! We have had the most beautiful weather here, in Jacksonville, over the past week (in the 70s) and the next week looks just as promising! Windows open and air off in this house. I actually hear birds outside my window chirping right this moment and in the morning too, the cutest thing! Not to mention the lawn mower running down the street.

There is so much to catch up on. Since I last wrote I have been feeling much better and to be honest I often forget I am even pregnant. I went to the doctor and my due date is August 29th and all I can say is there is no way I am rushing this one! I was so anxious to for Charlie to get here that I ended up rushing it and getting enduced for 3 days! A week in the hospital total for a normal delivery = not fun! So, we are enjoying this one!

Charlie is keeping mommy very busy since he is walking like a champ now! He started just before Sean left for Japan and is practically trying to run everywhere now - it is the cutest thing ever! He has also mastered the task of drinking out of a straw about 2 weeks ago and anytime he sees my drink with a straw he wants it! I guess its time to give him the spill proof cups with the straw. My baby is growing up so fast, I am glad we are having another one so close to him. He absolutely adores other children and babies fascinate him. As some of you have seen from my video and picture posts on facebook he is loving playing outside - in the dirt, all the time. When I say all the time I truly mean all the time. From the moment he wakes up he is standing at the back door talking gibberish and looking out the door. He has also learned out to open and close the sliding glass door. Its so cute because I have been teaching him to let the dog in when hes done or let him out when he needs out. He actually understands what I am saying! Oh, and one of Charlie's favorite things to do is anything thing I tell him "no" to more. LOL he definitely has my stubbornness but I don't back down and we have had what we call 'chill-out' moments when he doesn't want to listen. I am proud to say those moments are getting less and less to since he is starting to figure out that I don't play around. I am tough on him because I am afraid of him becoming defiant and having to reverse bad habits instead of instilling good ones from the start. It is definitely working though. Even though his huge smile always melts my heart I stick to what I say, no million warnings from this mama! All-in-all he truly is a happy baby and isn't much trouble at all. He is definitely going to be strong too, the child walks around with his metal tonka trucks in the back yard in one hand throwing them around! LOL

In other news we will be doing some remodeling in the house to accommodate the new addition (I can't wait until I can say he or she). Not to mention since we were infested with weeds in the front yard last year we are tearing everything out and starting over. It is going to be beautiful with the help of the youth at my church (they work cheap!) we should be able to have it done before Sean gets home! =) I have other big plans for the front but you will just have to wait and see the pics.

I finally redid the bedroom decor. I wanted to do a rustic American theme but I couldn't find anything that I really loved and didn't look tacky. So, I was strolling Target one day and you wouldn't believe the deal I found! Dwell Studio king quilt on clearance for $20, normally $80! I totally jumped on it and ran with the theme. Kind of a modern take on spring. Sara, you may recall that I was looking for a yellow and grey flower (that wasn't too floral) pattern to make my own quilt. I couldn't believe it when I saw this one at Target!

Well, I guess that's it for now, here is a photo catch up since I have been SO bad lately...
